Hailing from Sarasota, Florida, Marty Shannon has been working hard nonstop since he moved to Los Angeles, California years ago to perform his music to fans. Since the move, he has toured with Ron Pope, and performed in popular venues such as: House of Blues, Hard Rock, The Roxy, Whiskey A Go Go, The Troubadour, The Viper Room, and countless others. Aside from touring, his song “Cynic” has appeared in an episode of MTV’s “Awkward” and “Take Me Back” was featured on VH1. He has also written and performed with contestants from NBC’s “The Voice,” FOX’s “American Idol”, and even wrote a song for AMC’s smash series “The Walking Dead.”
With the success of the first two albums under his belt, Marty has been recording his third studio album with Kenny Carkeet from the monstrously huge band, AWOL Nation, and the insanely talented lead singer of Eve6, Max Collins, in what is sure to be his best album yet.
His love for classic R&B legends and current pop icons shines brightly in his music. With a little persistence, and a dash of perseverance, he is on the fast track to shine just the same.
