The Wrecks @ Fox Theater in Oakland, CA

Review & Photography by: Samantha Toy

This Indie rock band from Thousand Oaks, CA are currently on our watchlist! The group consists of Nick Anderson (vocals/guitar), Nick Schmidt (guitar), Westen Weiss (guitar), Aaron Kelley (bass), and Billy Nally (drums) who are all influenced by The Pixies, The Strokes, and Weezer. The Wrecks decided to create a band not too long ago, and they already have opened up for some huge acts including Nothing But Thieves who are from England.

At the moment, The Wrecks are on tour with SWMRS (Oakland, CA), Waterparks (Houston, TX), and All Time Low (Baltimore, MD). Veracious had the chance to catch their set on their Oakland, CA stop, and it was incredible! Even though Fox Theater was not sold out, at least 2,000 people showed up on this Saturday night to watch all four acts perform in their hometown.
