Papa Ya, Rozes, & MAX @ Holy Diver in Sacramento, CA

Review & Photography by: Samantha Toy

The evening started off with Los Angeles’ energetic’s duo, Nate Merchant and Alex Sacco who are also known as Papa Ya. This two piece group performed to their jams such as, “Fine Livin’”, “Outta Here”, and “Sunny” which two of them have surpassed over a million streams on Spotify to this day. The band’s high energy performance had new fans bobbing their heads to their music as they got more excited for the following acts of the night.

Next up onstage was the incredible Rozes who performed some of her top hits such as “Burn Wild”, “Under the Grave”, Matches” featuring Cash Cash, and “Roses” featuring The Chainsmokers. Rozes hails from Philadelphia, PA, and came from a family with a music background. Her set was full of fans singing along to her music, and fans posting her set on their Snapchat account.

Lastly, MAX had hit the stage with his high energy performance and voice. I have personally seen him at least six times previously, and it was nice to see him again this year on his headlining tour. He performed his songs from his recent album, “Hells Kitchen Angel”, a throw back song such as “Mug Shot”, and a cover of “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson. Not only did he play his songs, he also performed his two singles from his EDM group, “Party Pupils”, and songs he collaborated with such as “Savage” with Whethan. This has by far been his favorite set, and it only gets better from here. If you haven’t already, make sure to pick up tickets to see him live at a city near you.
