Jenny March: Interview

Veracious spoke with upcoming superstar, Jenny March on her first single, her musical influences, and her upcoming EP! Make sure to read our interview with her down below, and follow her on social media now. She’s an artist you don’t want to skip out on!

Hi Jenny! How are you doing today?

I’m great!

You released your first single, “California Daze” a few weeks ago. How has the reaction been to it so far?

It’s been really amazing. I’ve been so overwhelmed by the amount of support I’ve been getting from it, because I just didn’t know if people were going to like it or not. It makes me extremely happy to see people are enjoying it.

What can you tell us about your forthcoming EP?

The EP was solely produced by Tony Rodini, (Blackbear, Terror Jr.). I wanted the EP to be completely true to who I am and working with Tony made that really easy. My EP talks a lot about self-love and female independence because those topics are really important to me. They’re a bunch of really fun songs you’re going to want to dance to as well.

How many tracks will be featured on it?

 There are 7 tracks.

 Who are your musical influences?

Growing up, I listened to a lot of strong women with equally strong vocals like Alicia Keys and Beyoncé. I also loved dynamic performers like Madonna because I grew up dancing and that has such an influence on who I am today.

As you’re from Ohio, but you’re residing in California (Los Angeles) right now, what were some eye opening differences when you first moved here?

The traffic for sure. It was like 50 times worse than anywhere in Ohio. The amount of outdoor adventures you can do in California is amazing. You can hike, go to the beach or go to Big Bear to ski all in the same day. The weather is amazing. I also love how every area of LA is so different, so if I’m wanting to go thrift shopping I’ll go to Echo Park, and if I want to have a chill beach day I’ll go to Venice. You can’t really get any better than that.

If you could collaborate with any musician right now, who would it be and why?

I’d love to do a collaboration with LAUV, because his music is so real and relatable.

What can fans expect from you this year?

My EP will be released this year which I can’t wait for, but I’m going to drop another single or two first. They should also be on the lookout for a music video to my single “California Daze” coming in the next month. A lot of exciting things!

Thank you for chatting with us!

Thank you for having me! xx
