On April 5th, 2018, All Time Low kicked off the Young Renegades Tour Part II at Grand Valley State University’s Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale, Michigan. Detroit pop punk band Boys of Fall joined them for this one off show, giving the crowd an energy filled performance and getting them excited for a great night of music.
All Time Low have been one of my favorite bands for the better part of the last 10 years so it’s safe to say I’m a little biased, but they still blow me away every time I see them. Their stage presence is something you don’t see in many bands these days, and the crowd made sure to match their energy. Being on the Young Renegade tour, their setlist mainly consisted of songs from their 2017 album ‘Last Young Renegade,’ including ‘Dark Side of Your Room,’ and ‘Afterglow.’ They also managed to play quite a few songs from their previous albums; ‘Six Feet Under the Stars,’ ‘Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t),’ and ‘Somewhere in Neverland’ to name a few. My personal favorite song they performed was ‘The Irony of Choking on a Lifesaver,’ a song they haven’t played live in 3 years. Leader singer Alex Gaskarth and guitarist Jack Barakat give the fans a good laugh with their on-stage banter as per usual, and everyone in the audience left with a smile on their face.
You can catch All Time Low on the rest of their US tour through April, and check out Boys of Fall on their next tour starting at the end of April!
