Foxing, Hail The Sun & Circa Survive @ Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA

Review & Photography by: Marisela Delgado

American Rock band, Circa Survive made way to Sacramento, CA April 6th, 2018 at Ace of Spades for “The Amulet Tour”. Lead singer, Anthony Green, has a very prestigious stage presence. His feet are in motion, facial and body language are in tune with their songs and the crowd is in sync with him. Nonstop light strobes makes you feel like you’re in a lucid dream, which I presume, is the goal of the band.

I’ve seen and photographed Circa Survive twice, and the second time was better than the first. They definitely make sure it’s a night you won’t forget: I know I won’t. Ace of Spades had a sold out crowd and wow, did Sacramento come to party! Fans from San Francisco, Roseville, Elk Grove, Folsom etc traveled to the show, and the anticipation for Circa Survive was real. I heard many conversations throughout the night, and some were: “The last time I saw Circa was three years ago. I’m pumped for tonight!”, “I saw Saosin (Anthony Green’s side project) and he (Anthony Green) really knows how to separate himself from both bands”, “wow, I’ve never seen a venue packed like this before.” Needless to say, Circa Survive is a must see band. Make sure you see them while you can because you won’t regret it.
