JD & The Straight Shot and Chicago @ Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX

Review & Photography by: TJ Martinez

Its always a grand pleasure to be a part of a Chicago and JD & The Straight Shot show. Veracious Magazine is a proudly seasoned veteran of each of these bands- we’ve photographed, reviewed, and interviewed them on a few different occasions. JD & The Straight Shot is fronted by American businessman Jim Dolan. He is supported by a group of talented musicians; all of whom have played for some of the biggest names in music. Members of the band have also played alongside other artists including Martina McBride, Willie Nelson, Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, and Dolly Parton.

Following JD&TSS, was the legendary rock band, Chicago. Even through a performance of over two hours, Chicago played powerfully and full heartedly throughout the entire night. Chicago isn’t your average rock band. With every performance, they bring out clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, flugelhorns, keyboards, and more. As any grand concert goes, friends were made during the intermission of Chicago’s set. Within twenty minutes, I made a new friend who had some neat connections to the band. Long story short, less than twenty four hours later I was on a phone call with Chicago’s very own Walfredo Reyes, Jr. He was kind enough to do an exclusive interview with Veracious.

You can check out the interview linked below! Make sure to also made a stop at each of the bands’ websites, https://www.chicagotheband.comand https://www.jdandthestraightshot.com.
