Devy Stonez, Reason & Jay Rock @ Trees in Dallas, TX

Review & Photography by: Juan Badillo

October, 3rd The Big Redemption Tour continues as it was time for Jay Rock and Reason to hit the stage in Dallas, TX. The night started as Devy Stonez opened up and had the crowd going. Devy had the energy and mutual connection with the fans as I took a moment and just took a quick glance at the crowd that was very much feeling his music. Up next was Jay’s fellow TDE companion, Reason. He had just released his debut album last week and we had the chance to witness this moment. It was truly amazing. Reason’s performance was so surreal. I love watching humbled artists perform because you can really tell their love for their art and music they work so hard to put out as they’re performing.

To end the night, with the massive energy and hype the crowd chanted “Jay Rock” repeatedly. As a fan of concerts my favorite part has always been the intro. The moment all the fans are waiting for finally comes and it’s so amazing seeing their reactions as they’re all in disbelief that one of their favorite, if not, their favorite artist comes out. Jay’s music was super consistent throughout the entire night. He performed his most popular hits during the last 15 minutes of his set and I can honestly say it was breathtaking. This was my second time seeing him perform and I’m already counting down for his next show here in Dallas.
