Jessie Reyez has come a long way from the release of her debut single, ‘Figures,’ in 2016. While it peaked at number 58 on the Canadian Hot 100 and was certified double-platinum in Canada, it was only the beginning. In 2017, she released her debut EP Kiddo featuring singles ‘Shutter Island’ and ‘Gatekeeper’ and was nominated for two iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards. This year, after winning a Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist and supporting Halsey’s US tour, she released singles ‘Bodycount’ (featuring Normani and Kehlani), ‘Apple Juice,’ and ‘Sola,’ as well as a few more leading up to the October release of Being Human In Public. In addition to her own music, she has been credited for writing other songs for musicians, including ‘Faking It’ (Calvin Harris, Kehlani, Lil Yachty) and ‘One Kiss’ (Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa). More recently, Reyez was featured on Eminem’s latest album, lending her vocals to songs ‘Nice Guy’ and ‘Good Guy.’
