Silvertung – “But, At What Cost??!” Album Review

Review By: Kristen Zarra

Rock band Silvertung is preparing to release their latest album (But, At What Cost??!) set to be released February 15, 2019, through Thermal Entertainment.  Silvertung consists of Speed, (Lead vocals/guitar), Codey (Lead guitar), Danno (Drums) and Sam Sour on bass.  The band has previously released three albums and one EP. They have also had three songs hit the Billboard Mainstream Rock Radio Chart; along with landing opening spots for artists such as Godsmack, Papa Roach, Slipknot, Disturbed as others.

(But, At What Cost??!), produced by Steven Wright (Slipknot, Mars Volta, Rihanna), incorporates the heavy guitar riffs that one would expect to hear from a heavy rock band. Overall the album’s tracks display a consistent sound throughout, instrumentally as well as vocally. The album starts out with a slow interlude to a build-up of intensity for the guitar and drums to begin. As the first track, “Dodging Bullets” catches the attention of the listener immediately. Their lead single, “Done My Best,” has been released via radio, and conveys emotion through the combination of the catchy instrumental riff and intense vocals. Silvertung is passionate about the songs on their fourth album, and it shows. Being able to feel the emotion behind the singer’s lyrics is something that I feel is very important to listeners, and especially important for gaining new fans.

If you’re a fan of heavy rock music, I would recommend giving Silvertung a listen. You can pre-order here: https://thermalent.com/silvertung-but-at-what-cost-preorders
