SO WHAT?! Music Festival, presented by Third String Productions, returns for the first time in Houston on Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th with a new venue, and a chance to reinvent themselves.
“The last 10 years of the festival have been amazing and incredible and even life-changing for our team. We have watched young bands like A Day To Remember, Sleeping With Sirens, Of Mice & Men, Beartooth, and more grow up through the festival and go on to do huge things while also being able to book the bands we grew up on like Taking Back Sunday, The Used, and New Found Glory. We have been able to mix in artists we love that don’t necessarily fit the mold like Riff Raff, G-Eazy, Pouya, Fat Nick, and more,” said the festival via Facebook.
After officially announcing that they would not be having a So What?! Music Festival in March of 2018, they stated they would be to spending some time reflecting on their legacy and planning for the future. Therefore, news of the 2019 production setting up camp in Houston was a delightful surprise to fans hoping to continue the spirit of the festival.
Artist will perform on 2 of the 3 stages at White Oak Music Hall. The Lawn (its outdoor venue), and Downstairs (its large indoor place). Beside the natural anxieties of having to pick between bands playing at the same time, this year’s spring festival’s lineup is one of the most stacked in a long time. With headliners like Beartooth, Of Mice & Men, Parkway Drive, and Killswitch Engage, plus a very limited capacity compared to previous years, attendees might want to grab their tickets ASAP!
