Another year has quickly come about, and it has been recently announced that BBC’s Big Weekend is set to be in Middlesbrough this May. BBC Big Weekend has never disappointed with its incredible line-up, and the same can be said about this years.

My top ten artists to look out for at BBC Big Weekend this year are: Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, Khalid, Sam Fender, The 1975, Sigrid, HRVY, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Fredo and The Amazons. All these artists have kicked off 2019 with a bang- either with hit singles or albums- and several of them have already delivered viral on-stage performances this year.

BBC’s Big Weekend has also been called ‘One Big Weekend’ and ‘BBC Music Biggest Weekend’ in previous years. It used to be “the biggest free ticketed music event in Europe” before a small ticket fee was introduced for this year’s festival. Despite this change, the tickets sold out instantly as Big Weekend has a massive, popular reputation.

BBC Big Weekend has many selling points: the fact you don’t camp overnight, the fact that music fans in different parts of the UK get a chance to see their favorite musicians without having to travel down to London, the fact you get a buzzing line-up to choose from.

I hope you’ve got your tickets secured for this year’s festival and you’re all prepared for the 25thand 26thof May. For more info on the festival, click this link to BBC’s page.
