The UK’s biggest beach festival is heading back to Cornwall for yet another year of blazing sunshine, sweet surfing, and incredible music. Taking place at the popular summer destination of Newquay, you will be spoilt for choice on things to do, places to go and music to see. With Boardmasters known for its competitive surf competitions and other extreme sports on site such as skating, BMXing and blading, it has developed over the years to not just be Cornwall’s biggest event but also becoming one of the biggest and most exciting festivals within the UK. With music performances taking place right on the beach, could you think of a better way to spend your August weekend?
This year Boardmasters have announced such a huge line-up from a diverse range of music genres. Headlining we have the pleasure of seeing Wu-Tang Clan, Florence + The Machine and Foals, with some other incredible acts such as Jorja Smith, Franz Ferdinand, Sam Fender, The Wombats, Lewis Capaldi and about 100 more on the roster across multiple stages. Boardmasters is also a camping, glamping, and van-sleeping event. So imagine having a tent just stones through from all the action, but also right next to the beach to relax and chill before hitting the main event to rock your heart out. The really integral aspect of Boardmasters which other festivals could learn from is their environmental forward thinking. Their Pre-pitched campsite option and their pledge and partnership with Surfers Against Sewage means they really have thought about nature and the area which they take over for such an event which ultimately helps spread awareness to festival revelers.
Tickets for Boardmasters start at £179 (Plus booking and litter bond) over on their website, but hurry before they sell out – which they will!
